What Determines a High-Quality Pullet?
We enjoy all the chicken breeds God so beautifully created, but because we buy in high volume to pass on the savings, red sex-linked production hybrids are the only pullets we sell, such as Hy-Line Brown, Bovan Brown, Lohmann Brown, Tetra Brown, Novagen Brown, ISA Brown, etc. Though technically different and from different genetic companies, these are all extremely similar and are also very similar to the Golden Comet, probably the most widely known red sex-linked production hybrid.
All of our started pullets are fully vaccinated and have had their beaks laser trimmed at the hatchery. We do not sell pullets with untrimmed beaks because they don’t do well in transportation.
We sell our started pullets at approximately 17 weeks of age, and they usually start laying around 21-22 weeks. Customers should expect from 85-95% production rate (85-95 eggs being laid by 100 hens per day) and about 2 years of optimal production. Some of our larger customers start with new layers once a year and some of our backyard people get 3 or more years out of them, but a 2-year production span is a good rule of thumb.

How to Order Pullets
You can text or call (937) 231-1846 at any time with your name and quantity. We will let you know what pick-up dates are available and you can choose your preferred pick-up day.
Payment is accepted at pick-up, though some larger orders require a downpayment. We accept cash or check.
About 2-3 weeks before the pick-up day, we will send a confirmation text with all the pick-up details. You must respond with a text confirmation to stay on the list.
