Laying Pullets

Have Arrived

Calling all small to medium sized pullet farmers!

  • We prioritize larger orders and will make special time slots for you to arrive on pickup day to ensure you get what you need when you need it!
  • We are flexible and can work with your needs. We understand that as a farmer balancing life and work can be challenging so we are here for you in any way we can!
  • We have a minimum order of 10 hens. This helps us maximize our time and gets you the customer well on your way to a family size herd of chickens.
  • The hens we provide are Hyline Brown and Bovan Brown. These lay brown-eggs, similar to the Golden Comet breed.
  • Every pullet comes fully vaccinated and beaks trimmed. We leave no room to wonder what you’re getting and if you have any questions when just let us know!

To place an order, call or text (937)-231-1846.

Or get in touch through tim@lost-creek-farms.com or Facebook.

Keep in mind, the pick-up date is usually known about a month in advanced. When we have an accurate date set, anyone with a waiting order will be notified of that date and time!

What To Expect

On Pick-up Day

What you need to know for a smooth and enjoyable pickup experience.

All pullet-pickup days are at the same location:

  1. When you arrive expect there to be a queue of cars lined up waiting on pickup. If you’re a larger order, we may contact you to arrive before the general time arrival to make sure we can get your order filled without creating long wait times.
  2. Before you are loaded there will be someone there to receive payment for your order. This is where you can specify exactly how many hens you want, even if you’ve reserved ahead of time.
  3. Once you have arrived at the front of the line, there will typically be two guys that will load your pullets. Let them know how many you paid for and where exactly you want them to go. While loading they will count out loud to ensure you’re getting the correct number of pullets.
  4. After loading is completed and satisfaction from the customer, you can immediately be on your way, giving room the people behind you!

Note: On larger shipment days expect a longer wait time. We try our best to keep the line moving quickly, achieving that drive-through experience. Occasionally, there are circumstances out of our control such as late arrival or bad weather that cause delays.

We also have chicken crate’s available to buy providing a smoother and easier way of transporting your pullets. There are multiple options available at different price ranges. We also offer packages of egg cartons. Just ask the attendant on pickup day to add your desired quantity of crates and/or egg cartons to your order. These are also available at any time, including here on our website!
